I do love message boards, and I know blogs have taken over, but where is the chat at? I have a few friends online that I spend time chatting with, I like leaving messages, and reading messages but there is something satisfying about a quick chat dialog. Are there any plans to add a chat section to the site? As someone with mild autism, I've found the internet to be a huge boost to my communication skills. I have found that for many the internet has reduced communication to the level of kids arguing about who gets the orange popsickle, but we might be able to have some good discussion on bar tape at least.

hey, skinny-- can't help but notice that you are still a "new member" with only five posts, after a YEAR as a member. gpickle and cootie told me to join, that no one ever POSTS, and so in just a couple days, i'm up to around six posts. post, and folks will reply. seems to me that there's little reason to create another avenue of communication for folks when they don't sufficiently utilize the forms that exist already. when the posting is so busy that there is a greater need, i suspect THEN the private chats will happen. my suggestion to you: MAKE IT BUSY!! post AGAIN already. i look forward to some lively exchanges.
for example, i'd love to learn more about your autism. i used to be a classroom teacher, and had minimal experiences with autistic kids, so i'd love to hear more. why are you here? do you ride? how does that help you deal with autism? does it have any affect? how does autism affect your riding? tell me, tell me!!

It is true my posts are lacking considering my length of registered time, but I have not checked in for.. oh about 12 months. I'll see what I can do about staying current with posting and reading. To me, post counts are like my entries in quicken. Sure I can look up with a glance how much my wife has spent at Java House this year, but do I want to?
I would also like to edit this and say how happy I am that my gender is now disclosed, it seemed to be a cloud over my head that it was undisclosed for all this time.
For those wondering, it's $423.03.

does she tip well? [or easily?], asks a former barista, with a sense of general concern for the well-being of those at java house, and baristas EVERYWHERE!
