Heh, heh... I remember that race. Poor pickle tried to blame it on the wet asphalt caused by the rain... kind of brings to mind those Milli Vanilli boys, eh?

It was a hot and clear day, my friends. A few of my chums and I were heading out for a nice afternoon ride. We were travelling down a busy section of road to get out of town. 4 lanes on our side of the bridge, 4 more on the other. Large intersection just ahead, 6 lanes in both directions. We have a lane all to ourselves and are "Just Riding Along" as the kids say, when all of the sudden we hear from our left, "I'm kicking your butts!" Our group gazes left as one and we see in the left turn lane a shirtless man in the prime of his life riding one of those silly (well, for pavement) double suspension Delta 5 Fueled Trance double thingy bikes. His Budweiser boxers are a good 5 inches above his baggy shorts, but you knew that. Guess what was in his bottle cage? Go on, take a guess! MOUNTAIN DEW! That was an easy one, wasn't it? We were all amused and gave him a whoop. He was indeed kicking our butts. He was kicking our butts so badly that he decided to grandstand a bit and put on a bit of a show for us and all the cars waiting for the light to turn. He bunny hopped and cut left to make his turn. He cut hard. His tires could not handle the resulting g-force and let go of the pavement. His bike flew from under him into the middle of one of the biggest intersections around. He managed to get a hand down so he only hamburgered his palm instead of his entire left side. A fiery competitor, this one, he quickly recovered his bike and continued on his way. It happened just as I have described it. It was awesome.

Would have been cooler if the other guy did a wheelie while he passed him.
