This is fairly new, & we're still working on some of the details. Check it out for general info & a few photos. I'm really excited about the blog we've got running, too. It's a great way to keep tabs on your happy little community bike project in IC. www.bikelibrary.org/bikelibrary.blogspot.com/

Oh come on! Let us all as this November dawns remember to "keep it posi" and offer up a bit of praise as well as constructive criticisms! The link you speak of is there, albeit in an out of the way locale. Seek and ye shall find, unless ye be of unpure heart and drivetrain!

hmmmm . . . of impure drivetrain? smacks of fixie snobbery . . . something I didn't expect from the tangy pickle.

I speak, or rather type, of the dirty and slimy and grit infested drivetrain purity of which all my bikes lack! No fixie snob here, although I am on record that riding fixies on the street is unduly dangerous and silly and if you are going to at least you should not "brake it" as I have read the fixie crowd say. That is my opinion only, I am off for a duly safe and serious single speed ride with 2 brakes and no helmet.

I am proud to report today that 5 representatives of good were drawn from the Iowa City Bike Library, Iowa Bicycle Coalition and the ATLAS/CORE Cycling Team to help out with the adjusting and dispension of some 230 (!) bicycles to area youth from Mark Twain Elementary School and they did just that! This was a nice event financed and sponsored by a local church and I expect to see at least a few of them kids on the podium of the Tour DAY France in 10 - 15 years or at least take a stage or something.
Lots of pictures and video were shot so check your local media for more information!
