Hello all, Anyone else out there irritated with the Iowa City snowplowing regulations? If you have not noticed it is city policy to bury bike racks in massive piles of snow that cover not only the racks but any bikes that happen to be locked to them. This is very bad. I sent an email to the Iowa City Council today asking them to make a policy change and clear the racks for cyclists just as they clear the parking spaces for motorists. It took just a minute to contact them and I urge all other Iowa City residents to take a minute and let our elected representatives know that providing bike racks is not a seasonal task. You can email the entire council at: council@iowa-city.org Power in numbers is key to drawing attention to this issue, I know at least 2 people contacted them today, anyone else?

I just sent my $.02 to the council on the bike racks. I rode to work today and it was pretty tough to find a spot.
The car spots looked pretty clear.
The ice will eventually melt.
