So, I got to work this morning and, low and behold, my U-lock (the one I keep locked to the rack here at work) is frozen solid. Of course I keep another one on the rear rack of my bike for non-commuting rides, but that one was frozen as well. My bike is stored in the garage (aka "car hold") at night, but the rain yesterday obviously froze in the lock overnight (duh). Looks like I should start carrying some lock de-icer on me I guess (or just remember not to leave my wet lock in the garage overnight). Such an amateur move, right?

Always remember:
"When you're in trouble, urine luck!"
Just pee on frozen stuff to restore its funtionality! So many uses you'll be freezing stuff on purpose soon!

I think my cat must think a lot of my stuff to be frozen. And all this time I was thinking he was either mad at me or having health issues when, in fact, he's just been trying to help me thaw various things. Don't I feel like the fool now.

hot & heavy breathing on it might work...might get you arrested too though...
how did you end up locking your bike when you got to work...?

I just brought it inside the building and threw it in our storage area. Then I stopped by Paul's last night looking to pick up some lock de-icer, but ended up getting this stuff called "Lock Ease". It's supposed to prevent locks from freezing up, but that remains to be seen.
Hey, btw, I think I finally have enough scratch put together to start work on that fixie I was talking to you about a while back. It's either that or maybe that touring bike you have for sale, or did that sell already?
